Frederic "Chip" Hawkins, Jr., age 67, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at his home in Pensacola, Florida. He was born on January 3, 1951 in Mobile, Alabama to Frederic and Norma (Mathers) Hawkins.
As a young adult, Chip played trumpet in the "Harvey Wallbangers" and "Proud as Punch". After that, he became a respiratory therapist, and eventually started his own DME company along with his wife Roberta Lynne (Hesse) Hawkins, but his passion for music never faded.
He will continue to love and be loved by his mother Norma, his brothers Ricky and Paul, his wife Lynne, his sons Brian and Stephen, his step-daughters Andrea Gottler and Jamie (Gottler) Haislop, and so many more.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Resthaven Gardens, 1084 Massachusetts Ave., Pensacola.
