Obituary for Alberta Hill

Alberta Hill was born to the late Lee Hill and Carmen Hill on May 23, 1920, on The Farm at Red Rock, Florida.

Alberta Hill worked for the Navy Resale and Services Support Office at NAS Whiting Field, Milton Florida where she served over 18 years and retired on February 4, 1984.

Alberta was a master at cooking and cleaning, a prayer warrior, and a faithful woman of God. She loved the Lord and her family! She has blessed all who encountered her and became the Granny for all. She believed in talking and speaking about the Lord. She was the counselor and advisor for all who needed it. Her wisdom and knowledge about life were well-received and respected by all.

Granny Alberta Hill leaves to cherish her memory are her children: Bertha Mae Calvin & James Calvin (deceased), Fannie Mae Bryant, Willie Pearl Terry (deceased) & Billy Terry (deceased), Lillie Pearl Johnson and Reginald Johnson (deceased); grandchildren: Doris Calvin, Nancy Buckhalter, Albert Buckhalter, George Buckhalter, Adrian Terry, Vider Terry, Michael Terry, Jeffery Terry, Gregory Terry (deceased), Robert Terry, Vonzella Simmons (James Simmons), Gwendolyn Bell (Tracey Bell), August Kogers (Reginald Stevens), and Reginald Johnson, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Dewayne Riley, Robin Terry, Lathisea Simmons, James Simmons, Jr., Tracey Bell, Jr., Terrence Bell, Trontayvis Kogers (Raeseen Kennedy Kogers), Tronvahris Kogers, Jamell Stevens, Asia Brewington, Ashanti Terry, Jalisa Harrell, and Washington Harrell; great-great-grandchildren: Omar Koromea, Marcus Koromea, Nyla Fuller-Simmons, Samaya Bonner, Mariah Bonner, Xya Bonner, and Ola Bonner; siblings: Rosie Walker (deceased), Dorothy Hill, Letha Hill (deceased), Mattie Caroline (Dave Caroline) (deceased), Corinne Thomas (deceased), Mammie Howard (Jack Howard) (deceased), Hayward Hill (deceased), Shedrick Hill (deceased), Matthew Hill (Etha Mae Hill) (deceased), Stella Hill, Pearlie Harris, Roxanne Budweg, Jacob Hill (deceased), Henry Hill, Hasten Hill (deceased), George Hill (Mary Hill) (deceased), Leo Hill (Bessie Hill) (deceased), Moore Hill (deceased), and Scobie Hill (deceased); and many other family and friends.

Service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Keyser Cemetery. Repass will be at Citizens Moving Forward, 6151 Dogwood Drive, Milton, FL, hosted by Ferris Hill Outreach Ministries.

Pallbearers will be Jack Jordan, Jacob Hill, Rodney Hill, Harry Hill, Nelson Hill, and Adrian Marsh.

The family of the late Alberta Hill would like to thank everyone for their kind gestures, comforting words, prayers, telephone calls, floral tributes, cards, and any other expressions of generosity shown during our time of bereavement.
