On April 3rd, 2023, our brother Allen E. Griffin, passed away at the age of 61. He was born December 27, 1961, in Pensacola, FL and was raised in Blountstown, FL. Allen graduated from Blountstown High School in 1979. During Allen's high school years, he enjoyed playing football where he acquired the nickname of Bullwhip. In later years he earned his Associate degree. There were facets of his life that many were unaware of, such as he loved riding his motorcycle, gardening, hunting, and woodworking. Allen also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially time with his grandson, watching the Blue Angels, going to the Ice Pilots/Flyers hockey games, and taking care of his dogs.

He is survived by his daughter, Valerie Lasure; grandson Lance Corporal Aydin Lasure; brother and sister-in-law Harold and Nancy Griffin; sister Mary Potter; nieces Jessica Price and Ashlee Griffin; and nephew James Potter: great nieces Makayla Price and Lucrisha Potter; great-nephews Anthony Potter and Lane Price; paternal uncles Carl Griffin (Barbara), Lawrence Griffin and Jimmy Griffin; maternal aunts Sharon Parker, Patricia Stewart, Diana Early (Glenn), and Rosie Creel; and many, many, cousins.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents James and Earline Griffin: paternal grandparents Allen and Beatrice Griffin: maternal grandparents Earl and Mary Lind (Vansteenbergen); aunts Elease Adkins and Clarice Griffin; uncles Harold 'Duby' Griffin, Herman Griffin, Dewey Griffin, Charlie Griffin, Joseph Creel, and Shelby Stewart; and cousins Timothy Carl Griffin, Carolyn Adkins, and Mitzi Godwin; and nephew Taylor Potter.

Visitation will be from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2023, with funeral service from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 60 Industrial Boulevard.
