Al was a roofing contractor. He never hammered a nail or climbed a ladder, but he was a good businessman & had a successful company for 36yrs. When he wasn't sitting at a desk or out giving estimates, you could find him one of two places 1) at home, he was a family man & took care of everyone 2) baseball game, his favorite player was his grandson ‘Mighty Kirk’ who played ball all year & Al traveled to every game cheering his grandson on. Retirement for Al consisted of highlights such as flying to Wyoming where he had many adventures in Yellowstone Park or to the Caribbean where he vacationed many Islands claiming Grand Cayman to be his favorite & most visited. He loved watching the sunset and eating conch fritters. He dreamed of one day having a Corvette to drive to his home on top a mountain. in 2004 his dream came true- he had a new red Corvette & a two story chalet on top of a mountain overlooking Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. It was some of his best memories filled with stories of black bears and him looking down to see the fireworks show. Al always said the Smoky Mountains was God’s Country.

Al was a son, husband, dad & Papa who will never be forgotten.
