Alvin “Al” R. Grinde, age 74, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 21, 2022, in Milton, Florida. He was born on May 12, 1948, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, son of Alvin and Adrian (Resop) Grinde.

Al moved to Michigan with his family at an early age and graduated from Algonac High School, Algonac, Michigan in 1966. Alvin married the love of his life, Debra, in Michigan, 1990.

Al was passionate about auto racing. He raced in the Figure 8 circuit for more than 20 years. He loved anything NASCAR and the Snowball Derby. He also enjoyed a great game of euchre.

Al’s greatest passion, though, was serving the many friends that he made at The Oval Office Pub & Grub, Milton, FL, which he established with his loving wife in 1991.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donnie, of Hudson, Florida.

Al leaves behind his wife, Deb, of Milton; his son Dan (Liz), grandson, Zack, and granddaughter, Bella of Chesterfield, MI. Also survived by his sister, Judy (Steve) Bitterie of Croswell, MI; brother Lewis of Mt. Airy, NC; his in-laws, Jim and Mary Burns of Romeo, MI; nieces, nephew, and many friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Visitation at 10:00 AM with service to follow at 11:00 AM.
