Obituary for Andrew J Cicero

Andrew James (Andy) Cicero, age 78, of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of Perry, NY, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 19, 2023.

He was born in Warsaw, NY on July 4, 1944 to the late Helen Cygan and Francis Cicero. Andy was a Local 435 Laborer for 16 years.

Andy Cicero, Sir Knight was a charter member of St. Anne Bellview Knights of Columbus Council 15366. From his experience as a long standing Knight of the Patriotic Degree, he guided members of a new Council at St. Anne with the Principles of the Order; Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.

He along with his wife, Gert were a couple in unity, always together making each and every Council activity a success with their hard work and spiritual support.

Of special note is the Memorial to the Unborn at St. Anne Parish. Andy was instrumental in the proposal, design, funding and construction of the Memorial.

Andy is survived by his loving wife, Gertrude (Lowery) Cicero of 57 years; two sons, James (Debbra) Cicero and Robert (Victoria) Cicero; grandchildren, Amanda (James) Holderbaum, Caschet (Kyle) McCormick, Thomas (Kimberly) Cicero, Chelsee Cicero, McKenzie Cicero, and Jacob (Kimberly) Cicero; along with fourteen great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Andy is preceded in death by his brothers, Francis (Jr) and Norman Cicero.

Friends and family may come for the Rosary at 5:45 p.m., and a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 60 Industrial Blvd. Pensacola, Florida. A catholic mass will be held Tuesday, April 25th at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Bellview, 5200 Saufley Field Road, Pensacola at 10:00 a.m.
