Obituary for Anita Pfeifer

Nikki (Anita) Pfeifer, age 82, of Pensacola, FL went to be with the Lord on February 28,2022 at 10:30 PM. She was born to William and Margaret Scheele of Indianapolis, IN.

She started out as an office assistant in Indianapolis and Chicago and worked at our father’s CPA office helping build the family business. She was a flight attendant for Eastern and later in life for ATA where she traveled extensively overseas and in the states.

She received a degree from Rollins College as a paralegal later in life but the job she enjoyed most, and the happiest time in her life, was raising her 3 children. She loved and was dedicated to family helping her 3 children pursue their careers and get degrees in medicine, nursing and music. She opened her own travel business and was a tour guide at the World’s Fair in New Orleans. She loved working at Disney World in several different areas and worked for the city of Belleair Bluffs, FL where she retired. She moved to Pensacola to be with her daughter 8 years ago and had become very active in the community. She was a member of the Newcomers Club, Artel Gallery, and Santa Rosa Art Association. She was a juried artist and enjoyed playing bridge and other games where she was often a winner. She was a personal shopper for her family and will be truly missed. She enjoyed many trips to Disney World and loved staying at the beach. She attended Pine Forest United Methodist Church and she was loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret; long term fiancé, Robert Lyle Fairbanks; brother, Gary Scheele; sister-in-law, Diane Scheele; her beloved son, Dr Stephen Pfeifer.

She is survived by her children, Dawn Masters and Mike Pfeifer; son-in-law, Don Masters, her cherished granddaughter, Sydney Pfeifer and her brother, Bill Scheele and his wife, Dolly Scheele.

Celebration of life service will be held at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, 2800 Wilde Lake Blvd Pensacola, on March 12. 2022 with greeting time 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and service at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, Nikki was passionate about St Jude’s Children’s Hospital and would appreciate donations in her name.

Nikki was a loving, caring, energetic and vibrant daughter, mother and friend and will be missed more than words can say. We love you Mom!
