Obituary for Bennie Rich (Dobbs)
Bennie Gene Rich, 81, of Pensacola, FL passed away on February 9, 2023. She was born in Pensacola to her parents, Benjamin and Gladys Dobbs.
She attended Warrington Jr. High and was part of the first graduating class of Escambia High School. Bennie retired after 20 years of working civil service at NAS. She spent retirement with her grandchildren and traveling around the United States with Roy in their RV with their beloved pets.
Bennie was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys and her father, Benjamin Dobbs.
Bennie is remembered by her husband, Roy Rich; children, Allen and Randy (Kathy); grandchildren, Mike and Tony, Shandy (Luvonte), Patrick and Benjamin; great grandchildren, Layla and Camden; sister, Mauveleen Pyron; beloved pets, Rover and Precious.
A visitation for Bennie will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with the service to begin at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Lunch will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Sullivan Hall, everyone is invited.
In lieu of flowers, donations can made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
