Obituary for Blair Christopher Durant

Blair Christopher Durant was born to Regina Klein “Ginny” Durant and Guy Douglas “Doug” Durant, Jr. in Pensacola, Florida, on October 11, 1977. His death occurred unexpectedly on May 6, 2022, at the age of 44.

Blair worked in the restaurant and food service industry in the Pensacola area for the past 25+ years.

Blair was a deep thinker with a kind soul and a smile for everyone. One of his former coworkers recently said that Blair was the type of person who “always made everyone around him feel like they were loved, like they were home, like they belonged. He always had a way with treating people with the utmost respect and kindness no matter how they treated him.” This is a perfectly stated sentiment that could not be truer.

Blair will be missed for his fondness of animals, his ability to connect with others, and his fierce love for his family and friends. Blair would give anything he had to help another person, even a stranger, and his kindness will forever be remembered.

Blair will be dearly missed by his family, friends, coworkers, and anyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Blair was preceded in death by his mother, Ginny Durant; his maternal grandparents, Nicholas and Regina Klein; his paternal grandparents, Guy and Daisy Durant; and his stepmother, Margaret “Marge” Durant.

Blair is survived by his wife, Candy; his daughter, Zahra; his son, Luke; his brother and family, Troy, Kristi, Tina, Natalie, Eliana and Portia; his father, Doug; and many close extended family members.

A private ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held in the near future.

Now in the world that lies beyond our senses, may Blair find peace with his loved ones who passed before him. Godspeed, and God bless!
