Obituary for Carlton Woodward

Carlton "Woody" Robert Woodward, Sr age 66 passed away March 15, 2023 at his home with family at his bedside, following a battle with cancer.Woody was born in Pensacola, Fl to Thomas and Voncile Woodward, Sr on April 17, 1956. He leaves behind his son Carlton Woodward Jr, Daughter Heather Hooker, Grandchildren Joshua Gilbert and Aiyana Johnson, Brother Thomas (Nancy) WoodwardJr, girlfriend Janice Sibbach, nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister (Katie Thompson) and brotherRaymond "Terry" Woodward Sr. He was so excited to be expecting his first Great Grandchild (Braxton) in June.Woody retired from NAS Pensacola as a Civil Service employee. He is a good and kind man who was known to his friend as "Woody". Woody was a hardworker who would do anything for anyone. He was a "jack of all trades" and could fix anything. He grandson said "If papa can't do it, it cant do done". He loved timewith family and friends. Woody loved NASCAR and often attended races at Talladega Raceaway. On race day he was cheering on his favorite driver, Tony Stewart. He was the best dad and papa you could ever have. He will live on in the hearts and mind of everyone he interacted with. Arrangements are in care of Trahan Family Funeral Home, 60 Industrial Blvd, Pensacola, Fl. A Celebration of life will be held March 25, 2023 visitation 12pm-1pm with a service to follow at 1:00 pm at Trahan Family Funeral Home.
