Charleen Free
1940 – 2021

Charleen Free, 80 went home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 2, 2021. She was born in Bartow, FL on September 28, 1940 to her parents, Bert Wade Moore II and Ruby Lee King Moore.

Charleen was one of nine children, who grew up in and around the Bartow and Mulberry, FL. area. Growing up, the Moore sisters would sing every Sunday on the local radio station.

Charleen was married in 1965 and welcomed three sons, David, Donald, and James.

She enjoyed fishing, painting, and sewing. Charleen was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and an infant twin brother, Charles Wade.
Charleen leaves to cherish her memories her sisters, Jeanette Watson, Doris Grant, Shirley Capps, and Maryanne Norris; brothers, Robert (Bobby) Williams, Bert Wade Moore III, and James Ray Moore; sons, David Eugene Locke II, Donald Ray Locke; and James Floyd Locke; grandchildren, Linda Rain Locke, Ashley Rose Locke, David Eugene Locke III, and Amanda Luzviminda Locke; and nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other loved ones.

She had many different adventures through Life’s journey. She always made it through with a heart of gold that she has passed down to all that knew her.
