Obituary for Charles Wayne Prickett

We are sad to announce the passing of Charles Wayne Prickett, 84. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. Wayne was born to Raymond Arthur Prickett and Dula Merle Windham in Phenix City, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by an older brother and sister.
After graduating high school, he joined the Air Force as a Fireman and then retired from the Coast Guard in 1981 after serving for over 22 years. He served his country proudly and received several medals, awards, and accommodations. After the military, he captained tugboats up and down the Mississippi River, earning the name, Tugboat Charlie. Wayne quietly gave to many children’s charities. He loved his country, his family, and Alabama Football. ROLL TIDE ROLL!
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Ruth Prickett; nine stepchildren; eighteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Paw Paw was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
