Obituary for Christopher Beasley

Christopher “Chris” Beasley, 50, of Pensacola, FL, passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2021, at his residence. Chris was born in Fort Wolters, TX, to Heather Ann and Daniel G. Beasley.

As a “military brat” Chris grew up in eight states, the two longest being VA and FL, and six countries but always considered Pensacola, FL his home.

In his youth he was an avid soccer player, playing in the States and Germany. He loved cars, especially Mustangs, and rebuilt his first Mustang in high school to be a race worthy dragster. He became a big NASCAR fan attending races with his family and friends and often coming over to his family’s home to watch the broadcast with them and root for his favorite Ford drivers.

His other passions were the water where he enjoyed boogie boarding, surfing, and scuba diving; and football where to him there were only two teams -- the Miami Hurricanes and the Miami Dolphins. Chris was artistic and a formally trained graphic artist but later switched careers to being an electrician. He was in his final year of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) five-year electrician’s training course and looking forward to the upcoming graduation.

Chris attended college in VA and FL and was also pursuing a degree in electrical engineering.

Chris is preceded in death by his wife, Darlene (Dar); his mother, Heather; and uncle, Alex.

He is survived by his father, Dan of Pensacola; sister, Rachael Ann of Hampton, VA; brother, Keith of Pensacola; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; his beloved nieces, Raisa and Kaya of Pensacola; and great nephew, Rhett of Pensacola.

Chris was a kind and loving person who was quick with a smile and always put his family and friends first. We love and miss him.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Trahan Family Funeral Home of Pensacola. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.; both will be held at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Chris’s name to non-kill animal shelters that also care for his favorite pets -- cats.
