Obituary for Creola Wiggins (Watson)

On January 25, 2023, Creola Wiggins, a beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend was called to glory. Creola was born on February 26,1935 to Frank Watson and Bessie Lee Dailey. She was born, raised and educated in Burnt Corn, Alabama. Creola married Simon Wiggins and to this union one daughter, Renee Wiggins, was born. Creola was an amazing mother to her daughter, Renee, who preceded her in death.

Always a free and independent spirit, she settled in Pensacola, Florida. She made a family and a home for herself. Creola was an avid cook and worked in various establishments in Pensacola. She was known for her southern style of cooking, especially her fried chicken She had a wonderful sense of humor and her smile would brighten up anyone’s day. She loved to laugh and be the voice of reason to anyone who needed advice or even a positive or kind word. Her smile brightened any room and her laugh was infectious. She lifted everyone’s spirit, even when they didn’t know they needed it. She was so very loved and will be missed.

Creola spent the last few years of her life at the Life Care Center in Pensacola, Florida where she received excellent care and support.

Creola was preceded in death by her mother; father; her siblings, George Watson and Samuel Watson; her daughter, Renee Wiggins.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her sister, Josephine Bell; brothers, James Watson and William Watson; a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
