Obituary for Daniel Lynn Selbee

Daniel Lynn Selbee
December 15, 1961 - March 7, 2021

Daniel Lynn Selbee of Pace Florida passed away from COVID-19 on March 7, 2021 with his wife, son and niece by his side. Due to COVID restrictions the family will hold a memorial service at a later date.

Daniel Lynn Selbee was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, moving to Minnesota in early childhood after his parents divorced. It was there that he honed his reputation as a consummate troublemaker that he carried into adulthood with pride. The citizens of Southeast Minnesota were menaced by Daniel and his brothers, from tossing firework laden apples above cars to ill-timed games of “Beer Baseball” before testing his fortitude at the local roller-skating rink.

Daniel grew into a loving and compassionate man, although that side of him was rarely seen, as he spent most of his time on the road as a semi-truck driver. His free time was spent bowling, hunting, fishing and charming the ladies with his baby blue eyes. Most recently he could be found getting banned from Facebook for his political discord.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Myrna Tripp; and father, Lynn Selbee.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Michelle; brothers, David (Becky) Selbee of Sonora, Ca, Douglas (Michelle) Selbee; children, Jaime (Cody) Vagts of Calmer, IA, Joey Folstad of Ridgeway, IA, Daniel (Heidi) Selbee of Tyron, NC, Julie (Chad) Pavey of Pensacola, FL, Cole Selbee of Pace, FL; stepdaughter, Trinity Mullins; grandchildren, Paisley, Finnley, Lila, Atley, Damon, Emma, Talon, Brielle and Naminé; nephew, Rikki Selbee; and nieces, Airon Selbee-Smith and Cristine Selbee.
