Obituary for David Bartholemew Becker
David Bartholomew Becker, 66, passed away on January 20, 2021. David was born on September 6, 1954 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Francis and June Becker.
He attended Escambia High School and then joined the United State Navy serving as a machinist until 1977 when he was honorably discharged. Upon leaving the Navy he worked at Brown Marina for many years before he went to work for ECUA until his retirement.
He is preceded in death with his parents, June and Francis Becker; his wife, Mary Sue Becker.
Those left to cherish his memories are his soulmate and girlfriend of 16 years, Laura Lee; daughters, Cambre Lee and Kelsey Lee; granddaughter, Amelia Lee; sister, Yvonne Frederick; brother, William Becker; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his two fur babies, Zoey and Buddy (Buddy is now playing in Heaven with David).
A Service for David will be held on April 8, 2021 at Barrancas National Cemetery. We will meet at Trahan Family Funeral Home and leave in procession at 11 a.m. sharp for the 11:30 graveside Service. John Edmondson of Atlanta, Georgia will be officiating the Service.
David was an extraordinary man. He had such a sweet gentle sprit. He was so kind and loving. His most favorite thing to do was spend time and play with his granddaughter, Amelia. David will be missed by those who knew him.
Laura would like to thank Bud and Heidi Reece for their help and support during this difficult time. She would also like to thank neighbor Cliff Gregory for the constant commitment and helpfulness to David and I towards the end, and to Covent care for helping keep David at peace and keep his dignity before he was called home.
