David (Dave) Ford Rankine Jr, age 78, of Pensacola, Fl passed away on Feb 05, 2021. Dave was born in Philadelphia, Pa to David Ford Rankine Sr. and Marie Ema Rankine.

He is survived by his children, Daneya Rankine and Dax Rankine; grandchildren, Gavin and Avery Rankine; brother Robert (Debbie) Rankine, along with nieces and nephews, Rebecca, Jennifer, Kitty, Peggy, Robert, Tom, and TJ.

Dave as a young man, held the pole vault record in 1954 at his church Farm School in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He went on to join the military. He spent over 20 years in the Navy, where he also became a photographer instructor.

Dave loved his motorcycles. He and his Honda Gold Wing traveled to all the states, well except Hawaii. It's hard to drive a bike there, but if he could have, he would've.

Our father, Dave was an amazing man. He made sure we knew the basics, as well as what was right or wrong. It was this that my brother and I believe in every day. We know our father is riding along with all his biker buddies in heaven. If you can go for a ride for Dave, he would love that. Ride free forever Dad.
