Debbie L. Burnitt Ward, 62, of McDavid, Florida, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023.
Debbie was born in Orange, Texas to Jimmy and Doris Burnitt on October 2, 1960. She married Stephen Ward on September 2, 2006. Debbie never gave birth to children of her own, but she was a second mom to four children during her lifetime: one from a previous marriage, and three from her marriage with Stephen. She loved these children as her own and was a tremendous part of each one’s upbringing.
Debbie is preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Burnitt and her brother, Johnny Burnitt.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Stephen Ward, her stepchildren: Joe Phillips, Jon Ward, Sarah Donaldson, and Hannah Ward, her siblings: Jerry Burnitt, Jimmy Burnitt, Donya Singletary, and her mother: Doris Burnitt.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Trahan Family Funeral Home in Pensacola, Florida. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm, and the funeral service will start at 1:00pm, following the service she will be laid to rest at Rays Chapel Cemetery in McDavid, FL.
