Obituary for Dennis Michael Treigle Sr.
Dennis Michael Treigle, Sr. of Pensacola passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on April 13, 2022 at 1:35pm. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents, Weston Joseph Treigle and Margaret Cecil Frank Treigle.
Dennis was a proud Military Veteran who served 21 years in the US Navy. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War where he earned several medals. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Navy never left him and he was extremely proud to have been able to serve his country.
Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and going to the casinos. His favorite things were swiss cake rolls and scratch off tickets. He will be most remembered for his “Paw-Paw” Care Packages, his sense of humor and the famous “Paw-Paw” Dance.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Weston and Margaret Treigle; his brothers, Weston Treigle and Steven Treigle; and his Son-in-Law, Troy Best.
Those left to cherish his memory are his adoring wife of 54 years, Judy; his loving children, Denise Shafer Best, Dennis Treigle, Jr. (Deni), and Melissa Griffith (Jason); amazing grandchildren, Joshua Shafer (Katelyn), Jesika Shafer (Colton), Jordyn Boucha (Beau), Kendra Best and Hayley Griffith; his future great buns in the oven, Oliver and Arlo; his siblings, Jimmy Treigle, Violet Treigle Hamilton, Darnell Treigle, Anita Hays, and Lawrence Treigle. Along with much more extended family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 21, 2022 at Trahan Family Funeral Home. The family ask that friends join them at 11:00 a.m. for the visitation, with services following at 12:00 p.m. Procession will leave the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. for interment at 2:00 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL with honors.
Pallbearers for the service will be Larry Treigle, Jay Hays, Deric Litton, Forest Nobles, William Moody, Shane McLeod, Gary Goodwin, and Jeff Colley.
