Obituary for Desta Kay Cofield
Desta Kay Cofield, 62, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on March 21, 2022 at Baptist Hospital. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to her parents Willie Jones and Joyce McCranie. She was born on December 12, 1959 and moved to the Pensacola area when she was two years old.
Desta was an EMT and entertainment manager.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Jones and Joyce McCranie; brother, Gary Luttrea.
Desta is survived by her husband of 27 years, Gordon Cofield; brother, Johnny Jones; sister, Cindy Kroncke; nephew, Wesley Mathis.
The family would like to recognize Baptist MICU and staff as well as critical care.
A Funeral Service for Desta will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022. We will meet at Trahan Family Funeral Home in Pensacola at 1:30 p.m. We will leave in procession at 2:00 p.m. for a 2:30 p.m. graveside service at Barrancas National Cemetery.
