Obituary for Dianne Kay Tinker

Dianne Kay (Richardson) Tinker, 79, of Pensacola, Florida was welcomed in to the arms of Jesus on March 18, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Her greatest joy in life was making things easier and better for others which she did passionately and selflessly.
Dianne was born in San Francisco, California, to Douglas Richardson and Margaret (Hockemeyer) Richardson. Her family moved back to Michigan at the age of one and she spent her childhood in the Midland/Hemlock Michigan area. She attended Northwood Institute secretarial school after graduation from High School.
Dianne married Jeffrey Nothelfer in 1962 with whom she had her two children. She obtained her cosmetology license and worked many years in that profession. In 1974, Dianne married David Tinker and they later moved to Pensacola in 1982. She then started an administrative career at Pensacola Junior College where she worked from 1983 to 2006 as an Executive Assistant and Curriculum Specialist.
Dianne was a very active member of and dedicated servant to Grace Lutheran Church in Pensacola. She was a devoted Christian and had a strong faith that helped guide her through life.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Douglas Richardson, and her husband David Tinker.
Dianne is survived by her brother, Mark Richardson (Connie); her children, David Nothelfer (Debbe) and Joni Marquardt (Jason); granddaughter, Katelyn Nothelfer; grandsons, Jay Marquardt and Jackson Marquardt; and great granddaughter, Serenitti Alden. She also cared deeply for her nephews, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Arrangements are in the care of Trahan Family Funeral Home. A service will be held on April 24th at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church (6601 N. 9th avenue). At a later date, her ashes (along with the ashes of her beloved dog Annie) will be placed alongside her parents in Michigan at Midland Memorial Gardens.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, to honor Dianne with a donation in her name to Grace Lutheran Church of Pensacola or the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
Our family would like to thank Inspiritas of Pensacola and Emerald Coast Hospice for the care they provided the past few years and especially in these final weeks.
