Obituary for Dorothy Baker
Dorothy Jean Lowery Baker, 65, passed away surrounded by her family, Monday, September 12, 2022. She was born in Corpus Christi April 27, 1957, to Robert Ellis Lowery and Barbara Jean Carlisle. She moved to Pensacola in 1963 at six years old.
Dorothy received multiple acknowledgements for her serving some of Pensacola’s finest from NAS at the Waffle House on New Warrington Road for over 30 years.
Dorothy had a great love of arts and crafts where she made beautiful cross stitching and also wood art. She would bake cakes and candy for friends and loved ones. She also had love for the beach but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Will Baker; both parents; and an infant sister.
Dorothy is survived by her only child Shawn Lowery; grandchildren, Jasmine, Tityana, and Shawn; great- grandchild, Sophia; brother, Bobby; and sisters, Dianne and Donna.
