Obituary for Dorothy Hataway
Dorothy Ellen Hataway, 64, of Milton, FL, passed away April 1, 2023. She was born September 13, 1958 in Miami, FL, to James and Nancy (Prickett) Brock.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her father, James Brock; mother, Nancy Brock; stepdad, Charles Wayne Prickett; aunt, Linda Tubbs; mother-in-law, Marry Sue Anderson; father-in-law, Randall Hataway; sister-in-law, Brenda Mitchell; and niece, Melissa (Huggins)Fountaine.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Randy Hataway; son, Scott Hataway (Michelle); daughter, Jamie Greathouse (Chris); grandchildren: Kerstian Kent, Haley Kent (Justin), Alyssa Gauthier (Chris), Biranna Kammerman (Destiny), Skylar McQuaige and Aslyne McQuaige; great-grandchildren: Kenleigh, Oliver, Orin, Ramson and Ryder with one on the way; siblings: Nancy J. Deforrest (Albert), James Brock, Jr. (Wanda), Robert Brock (Donna), Rhonda Henderson (Don), Roxanne Clary (Dale), Reggie Brock (Penny), Rodney Brock (Kerrie), and Rebecca Carperton (Gary); brother-in-law, Jeff Hataway (Lan); and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Special thanks to the staff at Emerald Coast Hospice, especially Charlotte, for making her comfortable and taking the time to comfort our family in our time of need.
Special thanks to the staff at Santa Rosa Rehab especially Kristy (night nurse), Miss Mary (CNA) and Shannon Cobb (CNA) for just checking in on her for our family.
Services will be held April 15, 2023 at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton. A visitation will be from 3pm until service begins at 4pm.
