Obituary for Earnest Earl "EJ" "Porkchop" Jack

Earnest Earl Jack went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 4, 2023 after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Marion, Illinois on August 3, 1948.

Earnest served his country for 23 years in the United States Navy during which time, he traveled the world. Since his naval retirement in 1990, he has resided in Santa Rosa County, Florida where he met and married his wife, Debra.

He has been a member of Floridatown Baptist Church for many years, where he was blessed to be part of a wonderful church family. He was also a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, Patriot Guard Riders, Harley Owners Group (HOG), lifetime member of A.B.A.T.E. of Florida and lifetime member of VFW.

Earnest, also known to many as "EJ" or "Porkchop," was a man of honor, a man of unwavering faith in God who was always ready to share that faith with those he encountered, and a man of great patriotism. He loved his family and friends unconditionally. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Earnest was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Jack and Lillian Jack Parks and his brothers, John Edward Jack (his twin) and Richard Jack.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Jack; former spouse, Margaret Jack; his sons, Jarrod (Karri) Jack, Joshua (Marcel) Jack and Benjamin (Brittney) Ganey; his sisters, Debbie (Dennis) Gilbert and Tammie (Charles) Fricks; sister-in-law, Becky Jack; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other family.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Floridatown Baptist Church with Pastor Joel Hunt officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service begins. Burial will be at Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Milton.

Active pallbearers will be Jarrod Jack, Joshua Jack, Ben Ganey, Anthony Sanderson, Walter Weekley and Bill Carmichael.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Christian Motorcyclists Association Run for the Son Ministry.
