Our mother passed from death into life April 9, 2022. I found she had written this some time ago in prep-aration for her funeral:

To those I love and those who love me.

When I am gone, release me. Let me go. I have so many things to see and do. You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess how much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it’s time I travel on alone. So, grieve a while if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust that it’s only for a while that we must part. So blessed be the memories within your heart. I won’t be far away, for life goes on. If you need me, call and I will come. Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near. If you listen with your heart, you will hear all my love around you soft and clear.
So, when you must come this way alone, I’ll greet you with a hug and smile and “welcome home.”

P.S. I think this covid thing is a big hype.

She dearly loved her family and her bank buddies and all who fell into her orbit. Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ, she will be fondly missed.

Special thanks to Vitas Health Care, Joan Willard, and Mary Kimmons for their loving attention in her last days with us.
