Obituary for Evelyn Rebecca "Becky" Paul

Evelyn Rebecca “Becky” Paul, age 81 passed away peacefully January 23, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. She was born August 14, 1941 in Columbus, GA to Ralph and Evelyn Tew. She met a handsome salesman named Dan Paul at work in Century, Florida and they were married for 63 years.

While raising 4 children occupied the majority of her time, she always had time and much love for many family pets over the years. She loved digging in the dirt and her flowers. Becky liked to share her love of food and cooking with her family and friends, southern comfort food was her specialty. She inherited her love of sewing from her mother and grandmother. Becky was an avid quilter and made many beautiful quilts over the years. At times her children would go to sleep and wake up with a new outfit to wear to school. The light of her life were her children, but that light grew even brighter with the arrival of her grandchildren, who fondly called her “Poppy”.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Evelyn Tew and brothers Philip and Steve.

She is survived by her husband, Dan; daughters, Kim and Charlotte (Michael); sons, David (Aurora) and Jeff (Deanna); her grandchildren: Cameron, Olivia, Brooke, Beau (Christi), Jackson, Griffin and Madelyn; and one great-grandson Teddy. She is also survived by her brothers, Bruce (Cynthia) and Michael (Karen); and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Please join us in celebrating her life Saturday morning, January 28th, at Bellview Baptist Church, where she has been a member for many years, located at 4750 Saufley Field Road in Pensacola, Florida 32526.
