Obituary for Johnnie Faye Young

Johnnie Faye (Phillips) Young, age 79, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 in Milton, FL. She was born on April 10, 1943 at Wolf Creek, TN.

Faye worked in the cafeteria at Pike High School in Indianapolis, then became a beautician for many years in Indianapolis. She was also artistically talented and made several sculptures in her life. After retiring, she and her husband, Herman, lived for several years in Milton Florida. Faye was a faithful Christian and was a member of the Bagdad Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sally Maye (Johns) Phillips and Lawrence Pickens Phillips; her husband, Herman V. Young; as well as all of her siblings: Jean (Phillips) Tucker (and husband, Les), Thomas Phillips (and wife, Rose), and twin sister, Wanda Kaye (Phillips) Cochran (and husband, Patrick).

Faye is survived by her three children: Lori Faye (Young) Parks (husband, Brett); Anna Lucille (Young) Smith (husband, Lanny); and Victor Lawrence Young (and Tonja Baker-Mueller); six grandchildren: Bradly Parks, Cody Smith (wife, Umanda), Brooke (Young) Walter (husband, Joshua), Zachary Young (wife, Brittney), Emma Young, and Ryan Young; and seven great grandchildren: Evangeline, Ignacio, Sofia, Adrian, Izzabella, Novalynn, and Mazeleigh.

Services for Johnnie Faye Young will be Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Trahan Family Funeral Home, in Milton, Florida. Viewing will begin at 12:30 PM, with services at 2:30 PM.
