Frances “Ramona” DeWeese
May 01, 1937 – March 19, 2022
Ramona DeWeese was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 19,2022. She was born on May 1,1937 in Pensacola, Florida to Frances Middleton and William Emmett Caro.
Ramona dedicated her life to the Lord and was baptized as a young child. She was an active member of Marcus Pointe Baptist Church.
Ramona graduated from Pensacola High School in the class of 1955. Later that year, she married the Love of her Life, Donald. They celebrated 66 years of marriage. Ramona believed that her greatest achievement were her two children, Robert and Janice.
She had a beautiful smile and personality that could light up a room. A stranger was just someone she hadn't met yet!
Ramona had a creative mind and she loved to bake. She often spoiled her family and friends with handmade crafts and special baked treats.
Ramona believed God and Family were everything and that family didn't always mean blood.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frances and W.E. Caro; and her brother, Garry Caro.
Ramona is survived by her husband of 66 years, Donald DeWeese; son, Robert DeWeese (Sherry); daughter, Janice Daye (Eddie); her two sisters, Susan Cromartie and Carman Hughes; 10 grandchildren and their spouses; 22 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren; also, numerous nieces, nephews, many close family friends and her little dog, Poncho.
