Obituary for Glenda Sue Gibson

Glenda Sue Gibson
November 24th, 1954 – January 2nd, 2023
Glenda Sue (Shehane) Gibson, of Jay, Florida, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her immediate family on January 2, 2023, due to Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease at age 68. She was born in Milton, FL on November 24, 1954, to her parents, William “Bill” Shehane and Mary Alice Shehane. She was a member of the Cornerstone Church of Jay, throughout her life she was known for her strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She retired from both Vanity Fair, and as a bus driver for the Santa Rosa Transportation Department. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; nephews, Benjamin Fredrick Shehane and Billy Michael Shehane ; father-in-law, William Gibson; mother-in-law, Ludie-May Gibson; and brother-in-law, Walter Moore.
She is survived by her husband, Charley Gibson; sons, Jeff (Crystal) Woodall and Bodie (Tristen) Gibson; step-daughters, Stacy Williams and Stephanie Seymour; brother, Mike Shehane; sister, Sandra (Jim) Howell; sister-in-law, Susan (Rick) Evenchey; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
Visitation begins 1pm at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton with service following at 2pm, with a processional to Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday, January 16, 2023.
Pallbearers are nephews Scott and Justin Moore, great-nephew Jaden Moore, James Glmore, Ricky Glmore, and Wes Sutherin. Honorary pallbearers are her brother-in-law Jim Howell, great-nephew Payton Shehane, and Jeremy Cassidy.
Jeff and Crystal would like to thank everyone who donated, brought food, texted, or called to check on us, to the pastor for doing the service and we would like them to know it’s meant the world to us! I would also like to thank you for how great you all have been to us also.
