Obituary for Herman Harold Dubose Jr.

Herman H. “Sandy” Dubose, Jr. of Milton, was born May 7, 1963 to Imogene and Herman Dubose, Sr. He passed away on January 30, 2024 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.
Sandy attended Santa Rosa County schools. In his early years, he worked as a carpenter…and many people said he was a “damn good one!” He worked several different careers during his life. He worked shut downs at plants as a boilermaker/pipefitter. He later learned to work on cars. He was also an offshore tuna fisherman with David Price and his dad. Most recently he was a good handyman doing jobs for family and friends. He loved fishing and hunting; in his spare time he enjoyed fishing in Blackwater River.
He is preceded in death by his father, Herman Dubose, Sr.; his sister, Cynthia Jean “Cindy” Dubose; and father-in-law, William Freeman.
Sandy is survived wife, Jewel Dubose; children, Trey Dubose, Devin Dubose, and Destiny Barnhill; mother, Imogene Dubose; mother-in-law, Kathaleen Freeman; sister-in-law, Sheila McCormick; furbaby, BitBit; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial service held Friday, February 23, 2024 at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton at 2 pm.
