Jack Anthoney Mandel, Sr., 75, of Pensacola, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2023. He was born on July 13, 1947, to Charlie and Mary Mandel. He was “Pop” to many. Pop was a loving and devoted husband, and dad. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, and fixing anything that needed fixing. He mostly enjoyed spending time with family telling long stories about his past experiences and his love for God. He had a passion for old cars especially his 1956 Chevrolet he restored and flying airplanes. Pop always had a smile and laughter that would light up a room. He was always giving of himself to help others.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Eileen Mandel; parents; siblings, Pete Hollihand, Chris Mandel, Ralph Mandel, Martha Jensen, Jeanette Lawrence, Janice Allman, and Harold Mandel.
Jack is survived by daughter, Michele Dill; son, Jack Mandel, Jr. (Sherry); granddaughter, Stephanie Stevens; sister, Helen Golson; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, who loved him very much.
The service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023, at Trahan Family Funeral Home with visitation starting at 3:30 p.m.
Pop will take his last ride in his 1928 Ford Model A Hotrod on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 9:45 a.m. at Trahan Family Funeral Home to Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
