Obituary for James Lee Beal

James Lee Beal, Sr. 85, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, June 28, 2022. Jim was born in Pensacola, FL, the first-born son to Frank and Clarcie Beal. He married the love of his life, Sandra in 1959. For over 60 years they lived in the house they built in Pensacola and were blessed with seven children.

Jim served in the Army National Guard. He retired after 39 years from Armstrong World Industries working in maintenance. After retirement, he ran (Grandpa) Frank’s Auto Parts. Jim had a passion for all things motors....motorcycles, cars and he especially loved watching racing and our local Blue Angels, as well as cheering for the Gators. Jim was a selfless, kind man with a compassionate heart. He truly loved his wife, her cooking, his large family and he was very proud of them, telling them often. He was known for his quick wit and frequent joking, especially with his boys, who knew what a sacking was.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Sue Beal; parents, Frank and Clarcie Beal; son, Timothy Mayes Beal, Sr.; granddaughter, Sandra Jeanette Beal; sister, Clarcie Eloise Beal; brother, Malcolm Beal; sister, Carol Sellars.
He is survived by six children, Vicky (Dennis) Myrick; Jimmy Beal; Jon Beal; Mark (Tanya) Beal; Ricky (Dale) Stevens; and Jasmine Beal and his daughter-n-law Tina Beal. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be Saturday, July 2, 2022, with visitation at 11 am followed by a memorial service at 12 pm at Beulah Freewill Baptist Church, 7561 Mobile Hwy, Pensacola, FL.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Justin Myrick, James Beal, Timothy Beal, Jesse Beal, Jarrett Beal, Zeb Dahlke and Jacob Crocker. The burial will follow immediately at Spanish Cove Cemetery in Lillian, AL.
