Obituary for Joann Hall

It is with great sadness that the family of JoAnn Bivan Hall announce her passing on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at the age of 83.

JoAnn was born on October 24, 1939 in Crestview, FL. Shortly after, her family moved to Milton, FL. She lived there until she met the love of her life while she was a cashier at Manning’s Grocery and Dale P. Hall was home from his Marine Corp. service. They were married on December 15, 1956. They moved to Munson, FL in 1960 and lived there until they moved back outside Milton in 1995.

JoAnn worked at Munson school for several years and then moved on to work for Job Services State of Florida until she retired in December 2001.

JoAnn attended Blackwater Baptist Church for many years and was the church pianist for several years. She was a sweet, gentle soul who loved being a wife and mother to her family. She loved reading, singing, tending to flowers, and was an amazing cook.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale P. Hall, parents, Frank and Amanda Johnson and two sisters, Lois (Hubert) Wallace and Dorothy (Aubrey) Parker.

Survivors include: her two sons, Steve (Bonnie) Hall and Michael (Gena) Hall; grandchildren: Andrew (Meagan) Hall, Daniel (Jennifer) Hall, Dustin (Miranda) Bradley and Seth Hall; great-grandchildren: Ethan Hall, Riley Hall, Mackenzie Hall, Sofia Ruiz, Maximus Hall, Logan Bradley, and Piper Bradley; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 also at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Crain Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
