John Stephen Daniel Gutermuth, 38, of Pensacola, Florida passed away suddenly on May 22, 2021. John was born in Pensacola on January 11, 1983 to his parents, Mark Daniel Gutermuth and Elizabeth Coburger Gutermuth. A native Pensacolian, John was a graduate of Escambia High School.
John was an avid concert goer before his health began failing. The best one being November 2013 at Heart, when he proposed to the love of his life and best friend, Rebecca. He was a loving father who was in the process of teaching his youngest to drive. He was always there to listen when his girls needed to talk and give them advice.
He was a member of the RCO pool league for 16 plus years. He enjoyed playing D&D. He was part of the Escambia High School Latin Club Alumni Booster. John was an active and devoted Mason who cherished his brothers and was involved with bettering the community.
John is preceded in death by his father, Mark Gutermuth; and his devoted fur babies, Coco, Roxy, Priss, Daniel and Mogi.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Rebecca Gutermuth; two daughters, Adriona Elizabeth, and Annaliese Marie Pinkney; his mother, Elizabeth Coburger Gutermuth (Lee Botts); brothers, JD (Kendall) McAllister III, all of Pensacola, and Carlos (Gloria) Walker of Memphis, TN; his cherished service dog, Dobby; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Services for John will be held on Sunday, May 30 at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Pensacola. Public visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
