John S. Story was a kind, compassionate, and intelligent man who left a lasting impact on those around him. A man of immeasurable love, strength, and determination. Born on February 11th, 1937, John served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Marine Corps. On the same day of his discharge, he continued his dedication to the Oceanside California Police Dept while remaining in the Corps reserves. His family was his core concern in life, and John never missed a day without reaching out to beloved members of his. Until his last days, he was the patriarch of his family and never stopped encouraging them all to seek further knowledge and prosperity.

John was an extremely hard worker and entrepreneur. His tireless efforts inspired a generational shift in his family. In the 1960s, John, his brother Jimmy and his cousin Charles started disaster relief efforts that to this day thrive and serve thousands of homeowners in need. These efforts have heavily evolved but are continuing in prosperity by the foundation he was involved with instilling. Despite any challenges he faced, John never wavered in his commitment to making a difference in the world
and his dedication to helping others.

John's positive attitude, determination, and humor will be greatly missed.
