Obituary for Joyce Elaine Brady

Joyce Elaine (Hardley) Brady peacefully departed this world on February 12, 2024, in Queens, New York, at the age of 48. She was born on January 17, 1976, in Queens, New York.

Joyce pursued a career in nursing, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse through the Vocational Education and Extension Board on January 6, 2004. She was an invaluable member of the healthcare industry, dedicating 20 years to serving her community at Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Highland Care, and Bridge View Nursing Facility in New York until she became disabled due to illness.

Beyond her professional career, Joyce was a kindhearted, generous, funny, and talented individual who had a deep love for music, particularly gospel and R&B. She had a passion for dancing and singing, which she cultivated while attending Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School. She cherished her friendships and family dearly, always ready to celebrate her children's birthdays and surprise them during Christmas and other holidays.

Joyce worshipped at Queens Church of the Firstborn in Queens, New York, and enjoyed writing, singing, dancing, and spending time with her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Hardley, in November 2010.

Joyce Brady is survived by her devoted loving mother, Jennette Hardley; sister, Jennifer Smith; brother, Terence Hardley (Keynia); 4 daughters: Toniyah Brady, Becca Brady, Joylayna Brady, and Jahlia Dyer; her granddaughter, Jasmin Jordan; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Joyce's legacy of kindness, love for music, and dedication to nursing will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

A ceremony in memory of Joyce Brady will be held at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 6539 Trammel Drive, Milton, Florida, 32570 on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Milton Keyser Cemetery.
