Obituary for Joyce Williamson

Joyce Huey Williamson
February 9, 1938 – February 13, 2021

Joyce Huey Williamson, 83, of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on February 13th, 2021 in the hospital shortly after having open heart surgery. Joyce was born in Union City, Tennessee on February 9, 1938 to the late O.C. “Bill” and Thelma Huey. Although she was born in Tennessee, she was a long-time resident of Pensacola and retired as a successful realtor.
Joyce was an ageless beauty that graduated from Union City High School in 1956, and then continued her education at Memphis State University. She married and had three sons. Joyce loved to host family gatherings and game nights with amazing meals. She had a wonderful life traveling the globe and a hilarious sense of humor. She quite enjoyed card games and volunteering her free time at different museums. Joyce treated everyone she loved as if they were family. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Lane Kochenderfer; beloved husband, Peter Williamson; and sister, Jean Huey Adams.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jay "Kim" Kochenderfer and Charles "Randy" Kochenderfer; niece, Nikki Gardner (Chris); great-nephews, Joey and Ryan; and daughter-in-law, Mary Hansen Villamil.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 pm at Pensacola Yacht club on 1897 Cypress St. Pensacola, FL 32502. Masks are preferred.
