Obituary for Juanita Hanna

Please join me in celebrating the joyous life of Juanita A. Hanna, 78, who passed away August 17, 2022, the most wonderful mother and best friend a son could hope for. She was also motherly and friendly to most everyone that she encountered. She was born in Pensacola, Florida, on July 26, 1944, although she traveled Pensacola was always her home and where her heart was.

Juanita attended Pensacola Junior College and the University of West Florida, but never attained a degree because of her devotion to God, country, family and especially her only son. Juanita proudly served her country for over 20 years, including active-duty Air Force and Army National Guard. Her second career was cheering people up and serving them humbly, coffee and donuts at Circle Donuts. She volunteered her time freely to her family, friends, and strangers. She was extremely intelligent, kind and caring to most all who crossed her path. She was a stranger to almost no one. She was not rich monetarily, but she was extremely rich in kindness, hope and charity.

Juanita is survived by her son, Michael Hanna; sister, Beth (Herb) Drake; nieces, Katie (Logan) Holmes, Betsy Drake (Joe Haynie), Patricia (Eric) Finley, Lindsay (Jack) Guenther, Diane Gross, Sarah Setta, Donna Brown (Phil Kelley); great nieces, Leah Gross, Rachel Finley, Drake Guenther, and nephews, Johnny Norrell and Charlie Norrell; great nephew, Jackson Guenther; uncle, Seth Wright; aunts, Mildred Wagner, Marzilla Bryson and Ruth Brown; friends, Fuzzy, Roger Burbank, Kat Guarino, Kimberly Birmingham and too many others to name.

A Celebration of Life for Juanita will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, visitation starts at 9:00 a.m. and proceeding service at 11:00 a.m. at Trahan Family Funeral Home 60 Industrial Boulevard Pensacola, Florida 32505.
