Judith Irene Powell, 79, went home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2023. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Arnold and Elizabeth Campbell on January 12, 1944. She is retired from airport security and was a faithful member of Perdido Bay Baptist Church. Judy was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be greatly missed.
Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Pickett, and her brothers Wayne and Ronald Campbell.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Cecil; sons Mike (Shirley) Powell and Mark (Pam) Powell; grandchildren, Chris (Rikki) Powell, Ashley Johnson, Matt (Raine) Powell, Murphy (Deanna) Powell, and Campbell (Caitlyn) Powell; and great-grandchildren Coleman Johnson, Rowan Powell, and Isla Powell.
Judy was given a special certificate of appreciation from the U.S. Navy for her faithful, devoted service during her husband’s Naval career. She and Cecil loved traveling together and spending time with family, who called her Nana.
The service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 60 Industrial Blvd., Pensacola, FL at 10:00 a.m. and visitation starts at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow to Barrancas National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
