Obituary for Kaliyah Ja-Lani Williams

Kaliyah Ja’Lani Williams was born to Kenyatta and Jacqueline Williams on September 14, 2008. She attended Santa Rosa County Public Schools. She was a member of Mount Zion PB Church, where she was active in the Rainbow Dance Ministry, the Pastor’s Choir, and the Usher Board.

She was an avid basketball player, who played on various teams, with the Tar Heels, the Aces (who won the championship), and her final team, Team Passion (who was undefeated and won the championship). Her dream was to one day play in the WNBA.

She was an artist in her own way, she loved giving manicures and pedicures and was learning how to apply makeup. She would also say if she was rich, she would give all the homeless people a place to stay.

She leaves behind, her loving father and mother, Kenyatta and Jacqueline; sisters, Nevaeh and Payton; brother, Joseph; grandmothers, Sharil Fuller, Tasacha Williams and Deirdre Harris; grandfathers, Jimmie Fuller, Ricky Harris and Omar Tucker; great-grandmothers, Bernice Rutledge, Annie Williams and Ella Tucker; great-grandfather, Joseph Tucker, Sr.; and a host of grand aunts, grand uncles, aunts, uncles and cousins
