Obituary for Kathryn Sewell Wilkins
Kathryn Sewell Wilkins (71) of Pace, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 14, 2023. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side. A beautiful person with a joyful spirit, she left an indelible mark of kindness and grace on everyone she encountered.
She was called home to heaven to be with her father, Owen Taylor; grandparents, Dennis and Lucille Bradley and John and Callie Taylor; uncles, Holmes Taylor, Jack Taylor, Grover Bradley, and Leonard Bradley; aunts, Callie Taylor Jennings, Alice Taylor Peavy, Myrtice Taylor Suggs, Ida Nell Bradley Payne, Dorothy Glenn Bradley Lawrence and Janie Mae Bradley Rollins.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Dave Wilkins; sons, Travis (Shiela) Sewell and Sam Wilkins; mother, Daisy Taylor; grandchildren, Braden Sewell, Bryce Sewell and Amelia Brashear-Wilkins; sisters, Shirley Scherer and Betty (Rick) Cotton; niece, Sabrina Scherer McLaughlin; great niece, Graci McLaughlin; aunts, Ella Mae (Nick) Nickerson and Mary (Gerald) Brooks; and many wonderful cousins she counted as siblings.
Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton is entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive visitors on Fri., May 19, at Trahan’s Chapel in Milton from 1:30-2:30 p.m. The service begins at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Nathan Brown of Pine Terrace Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Bradley Cemetery in Wing, Ala. Dave Wilkins, Travis Sewell, Sam Wilkins, Braden Sewell, Bryce Sewell and Greg Scherer will serve as Pallbearers.
The family sincerely appreciates Emerald Coast Hospice, Dr. Jim “Big Jimmy” Markert and the other caring physicians and staff of UAB Hospital, and the many friends and extended family who provided care and support.
