Obituary for Larry Price

Larry Lee Price, 73, of Pensacola, Florida went home to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 20, 2023, while in hospice care at home. He was beloved son, brother, father, pawpaw, and veteran. Larry was born in Spencer, West Virginia on July 13, 1949, to the late Granville and Carrie Lee Richardson Price. He left home at an early age and joined the United States Army on October 11, 1967, where he was private first class. He received the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic Vietnam Campaign with Device 1960. He was a sharpshooter with the rifle M-14 and an expert with a rifle M-16. He had an honorable medical discharge due to physical disability on May 21, 1969. HE was a man of many skills which included but not limited to plumbing and home construction. He belonged to several clubs and organizations in the community: American Legion, DAV, Amvets, VFW.
Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Carlton Price of Irvine, Kentucky and his parents, Granville and Carrie Lee Richardson Price.
Larry is survived by his loving and devoted wife of ten years, Mildred Botkins Price; his son, Jess Price of Irvine, Kentucky; step- son, Brian Allen of Manchester, Kentucky; two step- daughters, Regina Settles of St. Petersburg, Florida and family, Midge Adams (Robert) of Robertsdale, Alabama; beloved grandchildren, Scarlett and Gauge Adams of Robertsdale, Alabama; two sisters, Wilma Fields (OdeII) of Beattyville, Kentucky; Jane Wiseman of Irvine, Kentucky; brother, Herman Price (Carlene) of Richmond, Kentucky; along with many nieces and nephews.
The service will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Trahan Family Funeral Home. The visitation will start at 10:30 a.m. and service following at 11:30 a.m. Interment to Barrancas National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
