Obituary for Lorenzo Lett

Mr. Lorenzo Lett was born on January 29, 1954 to the parents of Gladys Lett Snowden and Bill Abner, Jr. in Tunnel Springs, Alabama. He passed from his earthly tabernacle on January 16, 2023 at the inpatient Hospice Residence at HCA West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. His family moved to Pensacola, Florida where he attended Petree School and took the course of sign language and graduated with his diploma is 1972. He worked as a dish washer at The Coffee Cup Restaurant in Pensacola, Florida for 15 years. He enjoyed watching wrestling, car shows, and he stayed active by doing yard work and babysitting all his nieces and nephews. He loved Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee; his favorite musicians were James Brown and Michael Jackson. He was the oldest in the family of six children and the only son in the household with five rambunctious sisters.
Lorenzo was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Lett Snowden; father, Bill Abner, Jr.; sister, Karen Snowden, and his special nephew Elder Destin Johnson.
Lorenzo leaves to cherish his memories four sisters, Barbara (Rev. Ernest) Bruton of Greenville, Florida, Wanda F. Lett, Janie (Anthony) Allen; Minister, Monica (Scottie) Lindsey all of Pensacola, Florida; stepbrother, Ernest Abner of Portsmouth, VA; stepsisters, Giretter Agnew-Carlis of Mobile, AL and Margaret Pinkney of Lakewood, CA; Aunt, Evangelist Mildred Karl Knight; uncle, John Lett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

The service will be held at The Church of the Living Holy Tabernacle, Inc. at 600 E. Cross St. Pensacola, Florida 32503 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation starts at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be following the service to Holy Cross Cemetery. Repast immediately following at the church.
