Obituary for Michael Dennis Sapp

Michael D Sapp, passed away unexpectedly and tragically on March 23, 2024 surrounded by his wife and family. He was born on June 26, 1985 in Pensacola, FL the son of the late Dennis Sapp and Tammy Smith Sapp. In addition to his parents, Linda Simonet and Shirley “Smiley” Slusher; had a great influence during his formative years then later in life added his loving in-laws Bruce and Angela Rickmers.

After graduating high school, he enrolled in several courses and received his certification as an HVAC Technician. Michael had been employed with the Area Housing Commission as a HVAC Technician. He truly enjoyed this service and the dynamics of his profession.

Michael married the former Bethany Rickmers on November 10, 2012. Michael and Bethany had two children together, Lauren Elizabeth and Brady Austin. Michael had everything he ever wanted in his family.

Michael was almost always with his family enjoying many different activities. Whether he was working with his hands, shopping with family, practicing at the gun range, or longing to fish he truly enjoyed his free time.

After meeting his wife, Michael joined her in regularly attending Gulf Coast Christian Church and soon after became an active member.
In addition, he will be greatly missed by his sisters, Linda and Angel; his aunts, Gena and Melanie; and his uncle, David; as well as many other important family members and friends.

He was proceded in death by his grandparents; as well as his brother-in-law, Austin Rickmers.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 2:00pm at Gulf Coast Christian Church, 590 E. Burgess Rd, Pensacola with Paster Shannon Parsley, officiating. Visitation for friends will be at 1:00pm until service starts. Interment will follow the service at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, on 7433 Pine Forest Rd., Pensacola.
