Obituary for Murray Hamilton

Rev. Murray Hamilton, Sr. 67, of Milton, FL passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021.
Rev. Murray Hamilton was the epitome of an amazing man. He was the most loving and caring husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, friend and community member anyone could ask for. His life’s work revolved around putting others first, making it easy for many to affectionately call him, “Uncle Murray”.
Rev. Murray Hamilton, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Zebedee & Mary Black Hamilton; three Brother in laws, Hercules Gray, Sr., Noah Parker, Sr. and Jeffery Brewton, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving wife of 48 years, Emily Brewton Hamilton; daughter, Tiphanie (Alan) Sapp; son, Murray Hamilton, Jr. (Kristine) all of Milton, FL; brothers, Zebedee Hamilton, Jr. of Milton, FL, Donald Hamilton (Jackie) of Theodore, AL, and Warren Hamilton, Sr. (Runnette) of Milton, FL; sisters, Mary Ann (Donald) McGriff of Milton, FL, Barbara (Andrew) Green of Allen, TX, and Denise Shields (Ronald) of Pensacola, FL; uncle, Robert Hamilton (Hattie) of Milton, FL; aunts, Bertha Cobb of Milton, FL, Betty Ann Cuthbertson of St. Marys, GA and JoAnn (Richard) Clayton of Las Vegas, NV; four Brother-in-Laws: Alfred (Venita) Brewton, Larry (Carolyn) Brewton, Frederick Brewton, Dwayne Brewton, all of Milton, FL; Five Sister-in-Laws; Yvonne Gray of Pensacola, FL, Michelle Parker, Myra Ewing, both of Milton, FL., Deniece (Hervey) Griffin of Mableton, GA, and Isabelle Brewton of Smyrna, Georgia; and a special aunt, Elizabeth Brewton, of Milton, FL; ten beautiful grandchildren; godchildren, Noah Parker, Jr., Chelsea Blake, Sha’laina Moss and Georgia Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews and special friends.

Service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Pine Terrace Baptist Church, 6212 Pine Blossom Rd. Milton, FL 32570. Service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by visiting Pine Terrace Baptist Church website. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Citizens Moving Forward (CMF) Organization at 6151 Dogwood Drive, Milton, FL. 32570.
