Obituary for Nancy R Prickett (Bullington)
Nancy Ruth (Bullington- Brock) Prickett, 84, passed away March 5, 2023. Nancy was born July 27, 1938 to Mary E. (Hargrove) Bullington and Roy H. Bullington in Miami, Florida and went to Coral Gables High School. She met and married James “Rocky” R. Brock, Sr. on November 28, 1953. They were married for 18 years and together had nine children before a sudden death in 1971. Nancy worked at raising her nine children alone for many years with several different jobs in her life to help support her children. She worked on Pensacola Beach for years at the Dunes & Sansouci Hotel. Then went to work for the Cafeteria at K-Mart before she went to work for the Cafeteria School System until her retirement at the age of 74 in June 2012. She met a very fine gentleman in the late 80’s, Charles Wayne Prickett. They dated for several years before they decided to get married June 21, 2004 and were married for 18 years until his recent death in November 2022. Nancy enjoyed many things such as traveling whenever and wherever possible. She loved the outside and the fresh air. But most of all she loved little Children. She was put on Earth to care and nurture children. Mom/ Granny we will truly miss the “Rock” you were to all of us.

Nancy is survived by her children, Nancy J. Deforrest (Albert), James R. Brock, Jr. (Wanda), Robert O. Brock (Donna), Dorothy E. Hataway (Randy), Rhonda D. Henderson (Don), Roxanne Clary (Dale), Reggie H. Brock (Penny), Rodney W. Brock (Kerrie), and Rebecca L. Carperton (Garry); 18 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and many great great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
The services will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Trahan Family Funeral Home with the visitation starting at 11:30. Interment will be to Barrancas National Cemetery following after.
