Obituary for Norma Mackey
On December 2, 2022, another saint crossed over into her heavenly home with a new body that will never wear out or feel pain. Norma Lee Little Mackey was born on October 25,1934 to James and Katie Little.
Norma was educated in Escambia County, Florida and finished her formal education at Bible Baptist seminary in Arlington, Texas. She used this training to teach children in Sunday School at Pensacola Baptist Temple and other age groups at West Pensacola Baptist where she remained a faithful member.
Norma married Robert Mackey later in life and they were married approximately 39 years. She retired from the Postal Credit Union. Those family members preceding her death include husband, Robert “Bobby” Mackey, the love of her life; parents, James and Katie Little; siblings, Ruth (Walker) Nall, Cecil (Hazel) Little, Harvey (Ruth) Little, James “Junior” (Chris) Little, and Floyd (Ernestine) Little.
Norma is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and stepchildren Gary Mackey, Billy Mackey and Kim Mackey Jordan.
Funeral services will be December 12, 2022, at West Pensacola Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Walker officiating.
