Obituary for Osbond Jerry Kindle Jr.

Osbond “Jerry” Kindle Jr., 62, of Flomaton, Alabama passed away on January 9th, 2023, at home peacefully with his wife. He was born in Gainesville, Florida, to his mother Mary F. Kindle. He was raised in Alligator Alley in the Florida Everglades.
Jerry joined the United States Navy at the early age of 17 and faithfully served his country for 31 plus years, while in the Navy he went on to earn his master’s degree. After retiring as Command Master Chief from the United States Navy “Jerry” continued his service by joining the red cross. While being in the American Red Cross he joined the Rotary club.
Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Mary F. Kindle; brothers, Clinton Lee Kindle and Jimmy Ray Beagle Jr.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Johnna Kelly Glover-Kindle; son, Jeffery R. Kindle; daughters, Mary A. Kindle and Diane M. Herbert; sister, Vivian M. Hewett; brother, James E. Monk; 5 nephews and 11 grandchildren. Jerry will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday January 15, 2022 in the chapel of Trahan Family Funeral Home at 5:00 pm with the family receiving friends from 3:00 pm until the time of the service.
There will be a procession leaving Trahan Family Funeral Home on Monday January 16, 2023 at 9:00 am going to Barrancas National Cemetery where Mr. Kindle will be laid to rest at 9:30 am.
