Pamela “Pam” Helton
March 21st, 1966 – February 5th, 2023
Pamela Lynn Helton “Pam”, 56, passed away in her home on February 5, 2023, from a prolonged illness.
As a teen, she attended William R. Boone High School, in Orlando, FL and was affectionately known as “skunk” to her fellow classmates in reference to the natural white streak in her hair.
Pam dedicated her life to learning. She first obtained her bachelor’s degree as a Registered Nurse and went on to obtain a Master of Nursing, becoming a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2013. She served her community in Beckley, WV at the Veterans Affairs Hospital - positively impacting many lives. In 2017, Pam and her now late husband Bill retired to Milton, FL.
Pam was preceded in death by her father Homer Douglas Helton, and her husband William “Bill” Barkley.
Pam is survived by her daughter Terra Renee Miller, and her grandchildren Joshua Michael “Mikey” Fain and Sydney Adelynn Miller “Sam”; her mother- Elizabeth “Betty” Helton; her sister Cynthia “Cindy” Lang and her favorite brother-in-law Dean Lang; her brother Douglas “Doug” Helton and sister-in-law Alicia Helton; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life is being tentatively planned for summer 2023 at Wadeview park in Orlando, FL.
