Obituary for Patricia "Patti" Mayo

Patricia “Patti” Mayo
August 22, 1962 – June 14, 2022
Patricia Mayo passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the age of 59. She was born on August 22, 1962 in Rome, New York. Patti was the baby of the family, so she got away with everything.
As a military dependent, Patti lived in many locations, such as Alaska, Iran, and Korea. Finally moving to Pensacola Florida, where she would eventually start her family. Patti loved to travel and went on many adventures. Alongside her Life Partner, she visited many places. They often spent their summers in New Hampshire. Together they visited Niagara Falls, St Augustine, Maine, Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee, spent a Christmas in Key West and many more. Each of these visits included all the things she loved, sightseeing, finding fun places to eat, and meeting new people. She loved attending concerts, and saw Paul McCartney in Fenway Park, Blake Shelton at Gillette Stadium, Daughtry and Goo Goo dolls, and many many more. Most recently getting to enjoy Jimmy Buffet at the Wharf. She also enjoyed watching football (Go Patriots!) and Nascar. Patti recently joined a pool league, which she was surprisingly good at, she even won a few games! She has made many friends along way.
Patti loved her grandchildren and made sure everyone knew it. She cheered on Teagan and Aiden in soccer and always attended Alyssa’s band concerts. The grandkids loved that she lived so close (their yard) and never came home empty handed. Patti always had candy, sweets or some kind of treat to send them back home with. Patti had a huge heart and an infectious laugh; she will be missed by all who knew her.
She was proceeded in death by her father, Robert Gahimer; grandmother, Henrietta Krynicki; and stepdaughter, Stephanie Mayo.
Patti is survived by her Daughter, Ashley (James) Reiter; Life Partner, Michael Nute; Mother, Dorothy (Sam) McMullen; Brothers, Chris (Barbara) Gahimer, Bob Gahimer, and Samuel (Tina) McMullen; Sisters, Sarah (James) Phillips, Rai (Stephen) Halstead; and Grandchildren, Alyssa, Teagan and Aiden.
A service for Patti will be held on Thursday June 23, 2022, at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Pensacola. The family invites friends to join them at 5:00 p.m. for the visitation and the service will follow at 6:00 p.m.
